What is a Surprise Book?
Sometimes also known as a 'Blind Date with a Book'. It is a unique gifting option where you receive a book without prior knowledge of its title. After choosing the right gift set for you, you can then opt to either choose a specific genre or go for a complete surprise by selecting "Surprise Me". We will then carefully select the perfect book and elegantly wrap it with tissue paper and twine, enhancing your experience of unwrapping a special gift.
What if I receive a book I have already read?
If you have a Goodreads or StoryGraph account, then you can input your username for us to cross-reference and ensure you do not receive a book you have already read. Alternatively, you can specify any authors you do not wish to receive. This can be done through the text box available on each product page prior to adding the item to the basket.
Embracing the element of surprise is a key aspect of your shopping experience, however, if you do receive a book you have already read we are happy to accept a return and refund your order. Please see our Shipping & Returns page for more information.
Will I receive a book that is part of a series?
It is possible, however the book will either be the first in a series or one that is able to be read as a standalone.
What are Pre-Loved books?
They are books that have previously been owned by someone else. They will still be in good condition but will have signs of being read. They might have a few battle scars, but trust us, they've still got plenty of life left in them.
Can I send my order as a gift?
Yes, you absolutely can! Just make sure you add the recipients address as the delivery address. You can also leave a note for us to include with their gift by entering it in the note box at checkout.
Can I request specific items if I have dietary requirements?
Unfortunately we cannot cater to all dietary requirements, however all of our gift sets are either vegan friendly or offer a vegan option.
Why is the item I want to order out of stock?
As a small business we only have limited stock of each item/gift set. We try to ensure we re-stock regularly and quickly so please do check back again in a few days as the item you love should be back in stock soon!
Where is my order?
All orders are typically despatched within 2 business days. Shipping takes 2-4 business days via a tracked courier service. If you are having trouble tracking your order or have not received it within 10 business days then please get in touch. Please see our Shipping & Returns page for more information.
Can I collect my order?
Yes, if you are local to CO7 you are welcome to collect for free. Collection times are Mon-Fri 6.30pm-8pm and must be pre-arranged. Details will be provided upon checkout if you select the Collection option.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to 29 European countries. Please see our Shipping & Returns page for more information and for a full list of countries we ship to. Unfortunately we cannot ship to other countries at the moment, but we are hoping to expand this offering in future.
